This week, class 1 have been looking at how exercise affects heart rate. The class were split into 3 groups: walkers, joggers and intense activity. Children took their pulse before, during and after exercise. We studied how pulse rate changed and the why there were differences between groups. This experiment tied in with our science work on the heart and cardiovascular system.
